" Healing Crisis " Is This ?

QUESTION: I am still using the Eumora bar as directed, at first, no break outs and my skin was looking nice. Now 4 weeks later, (I think I’m in the detox stage) I keep having blemishes pop up. I am so crazy because even though you told me this, I’m a little panicked because my skin looks…not so bueno, but I just want your affirmation that this is part of the process—-even though I’m 3.5-4 weeks into using it.

ANSWER: First, let us confirm that you are not using ANY other products that have anti-aging properties…….like retinoids or AHAs. Once we have that out of the way, I can tell you that it most probably is the “Healing Crisis.” The best thing for the healing crisis, believe it or not, is more of the Eumora. It causes the healing crisis and it heals it too. I quit using the Eumora on my neck recently so I could do an experiment to be better prepared to answer concerns like yours. I began on a Monday using the Eumora on my neck every morning and night and a few times sleeping in it. The “Healing Crisis” began pretty quickly and I just kept using it. It became red, scaly, irritated and it stung.

I kept using the Eumora bar with NO moisturizer and 7-8 days later, it is better. Just looks like healthy skin. SO, my advice to you is hang in there and stay consistent. You might try sleeping in it and not using as much moisturizer if you can stand it. Don’t hesitate to call me if you need more info……I wish every client would communicate like this. Which moisturizer works best with the Eumora?

ANSWER: The manufacturer recommends Clinique Dramatically Different and Clinique Moisture Surge. I use Cetaphil plain moisturizer in a tub and Vanicreme 35 for sensitive skin. Most plain moisturizers will do just fine, as long as there are no anti-aging ingredients.

Am I Allergied To Eumora ?

QUESTION: The first couple of days I used the Eumora bar it was greeeeat, but after about the 5th day my skin got kind of stingy and it’s rashy and dry all over and seems to be breaking out when I don’t usually break out… I seem to have developed eczema on my face too! I read about the “Healing Crisis”, and I just wondered if that extreme of a reaction is normal? How long does it usually last, or do you think I might be allergic to it?

ANSWER: I went through the “Healing Crisis” myself. Everything you are describing is normal and this is the part where you really need to make sure you stay consistent. These are the toxins coming out of your skin. Make sure you are not using ANY other products with anti-aging properties. That will really irritate your skin and actually counteract the bar’s benefits. It took two and a half weeks exactly for me to get through. It didn’t stay red the whole time, though. It stayed dry, but you couldn’t really see it, only feel it. Then one day, I woke up and it was like new skin underneath the dry patches. The breakout will also clear with consistency. You have to remember it means the bar is working. Nothing good comes easy.

Also, I found that when I used less moisturizer and slept with the Eumora on my skin, it accelerated the healing process. Lastly, if you have a plain moisturizer that you love, that’s great. If you don’t, you might try Clinique Moisture Surge, with Aloe Vera, or Cetaphil cream…….just make REALLY sure you aren’t using anything with retinoids or AHAs.
