" Healing Crisis " Is This ?

QUESTION: I am still using the Eumora bar as directed, at first, no break outs and my skin was looking nice. Now 4 weeks later, (I think I’m in the detox stage) I keep having blemishes pop up. I am so crazy because even though you told me this, I’m a little panicked because my skin looks…not so bueno, but I just want your affirmation that this is part of the process—-even though I’m 3.5-4 weeks into using it.

ANSWER: First, let us confirm that you are not using ANY other products that have anti-aging properties…….like retinoids or AHAs. Once we have that out of the way, I can tell you that it most probably is the “Healing Crisis.” The best thing for the healing crisis, believe it or not, is more of the Eumora. It causes the healing crisis and it heals it too. I quit using the Eumora on my neck recently so I could do an experiment to be better prepared to answer concerns like yours. I began on a Monday using the Eumora on my neck every morning and night and a few times sleeping in it. The “Healing Crisis” began pretty quickly and I just kept using it. It became red, scaly, irritated and it stung.

I kept using the Eumora bar with NO moisturizer and 7-8 days later, it is better. Just looks like healthy skin. SO, my advice to you is hang in there and stay consistent. You might try sleeping in it and not using as much moisturizer if you can stand it. Don’t hesitate to call me if you need more info……I wish every client would communicate like this. I like to know what is going on and let people know what is normal and what is not.

Which moisturizer works best with the Eumora?

QUESTION: What moisturizer do you recommend?

ANSWER: The manufacturer recommends Clinique Dramatically Different and Clinique Moisture Surge. I use Cetaphil plain moisturizer in a tub and Vanicreme 35 for sensitive skin. Most plain moisturizers will do just fine, as long as there are no anti-aging ingredients.

Am I Allergied To Eumora ?

QUESTION: The first couple of days I used the Eumora bar it was greeeeat, but after about the 5th day my skin got kind of stingy and it’s rashy and dry all over and seems to be breaking out when I don’t usually break out… I seem to have developed eczema on my face too! I read about the “Healing Crisis”, and I just wondered if that extreme of a reaction is normal? How long does it usually last, or do you think I might be allergic to it?

ANSWER: I went through the “Healing Crisis” myself. Everything you are describing is normal and this is the part where you really need to make sure you stay consistent. These are the toxins coming out of your skin. Make sure you are not using ANY other products with anti-aging properties. That will really irritate your skin and actually counteract the bar’s benefits. It took two and a half weeks exactly for me to get through. It didn’t stay red the whole time, though. It stayed dry, but you couldn’t really see it, only feel it. Then one day, I woke up and it was like new skin underneath the dry patches. The breakout will also clear with consistency. You have to remember it means the bar is working. Nothing good comes easy.

Also, I found that when I used less moisturizer and slept with the Eumora on my skin, it accelerated the healing process. Lastly, if you have a plain moisturizer that you love, that’s great. If you don’t, you might try Clinique Moisture Surge, with Aloe Vera, or Cetaphil cream…….just make REALLY sure you aren’t using anything with retinoids or AHAs.

9. What is the difference between SLS & Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate?

They are all surfactants with similar sounding names that behave quite differently. Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate (DLS) is one of the gentlest surfactants which helps remove surface dirt by weakening the bond between dirt particles and the skin. Compared to the more common and cheaper ALS/SLS/SLES which typically produces a rich lather very easily, DLS is easily differentiated as it tends to produce a much thinner lather while cleaning just as well.

Skin Detox Symptoms

The body naturally detoxifies itself daily, but toxic residues may remain. The amount of toxic residues depends on exposure to pollution and other harmful sources, which are sometimes self-ingested, like alcohol. When the body experiences detoxification, or cleansing, symptoms occur with an intensity contingent on the speed of the detoxification and the amount of toxins to be rid. Just as other symptoms occur during a detoxification process, the skin will exhibit visible signs of the body cleansing itself.

1. 
   Drink 2 liters of water per day or more during detox.
   The skin is made up of two layers, the epidermis and, beneath it, the dermis. The outermost level of the epidermis is called the stratum corneum. It is important for allergy and sensitivity, as well as protection from external toxins, like pollution. It also helps restrict the loss of water. This skin layer requires ceramides, cholesterol and essential fatty acids to form a healthy, protective barrier. When a heavy amount of toxins enters the body, the strength of the skin becomes weaker and therefore even more likely to allow toxins in. As the body cleanses itself during detoxification and toxins are pushed out of the skin from the inside, the stratum corneum becomes more sensitive.

2. Skin detoxification symptoms occur in any detoxification process. The symptoms include breakouts, rashes or eruptions and sweat, which may produce a distasteful odor. Hives, eczema, very dry or oily skin, dark eye circles, puffy eyes or rashes are experienced if the dermal system is not working properly.

Rashes most commonly come from allergic reactions and are usually patches of red and bumpy skin. Allergic reactions are a form of skin detox in that the skin is sending visible warnings that there are poisons in the body.

Time Frame

4. The duration of the skin reaction has variables, including the individual's skin type, the addition or depletion of more toxins to the body and the primary trigger for the reaction, such as a change in contraception method; premenstrual symptom; quitting alcohol, cigarettes, or other substances; change in diet; or an herbal detox. The skin detox symptoms could last from few days to a few weeks, depending on these variables.

Misconceptions

5. Skin detox symptoms are a NOT a bad thing. They show that the body is working properly and ridding itself of toxins. It is often assumed that the skin reaction means that something has gone wrong when, in fact, the skin will be fresher and clearer once the detox process is complete.

The next time you see websites or individuals offering you the Eumora bar or a Eumora wannabe bar at a cheap rate, BEWARE BEWARE! You may be in fact be liasing with dishonest people who are attempting to ride on the popularity of the bar to make a quick buck.

While is a trend to use imitation LVs, imitation COACH bags and wear imitation Polo Ralph polo tees in Asia, it would be best not to RISK your skin and your FACE just to save a few dollars!

1. If they pitch it to you as the same bar but just in different packaging, beware. There are known scammers who used the Eumora bar as a sample but delivered a different, cheap bar from elsewhere as the end product, causing the results of usage to be disastrous for the users.


2. If they require you to pay a huge deposit before hand and do not have any bars to pass to you. Beware! There is a current group of people who are claiming to be able to get the bars at a huge discount. Victims are required to pay huge deposits and were told they will only be able to collect the goods two months later.


3. There is another brand out there in the market that claims to have the same formulation as Eumora but is going at a much lower price. As mentioned, it is impossible to have the exact same formulation. Because of the difference in formulation, there will certainly be a difference in terms of results. (I know becuase I was formerly using that particular brand before switching over to Eumora for good.


4. When they tell you they can sell you the bar CHEAP and their price is way below the standard recommended retail price, it is time to beware. I repeat, it is not quite possible for people to get all these ingredients of the bar at a low cost and neither is it possible for them to get the exact formulation. Unless you want substandard results or even terrifying effects on your facea nd your skin, avoid cheapo imitations at all cost!
